Jesus only ever trained people to be like Him, the Son of God. This is called DISCIPLESHIP. Jesus was soon to be leaving and was to inaugurate the Kingdom of God (His Body/His people) in earth before He returned to the Father in heaven (Isaiah 9:6-7). For this reason Jesus trained people loyal and obedient to Him, to be like Him, children of the only living God. These people were to represent Him in His physical absence in earth by being like Him; they would bring the Kingdom of God wherever they went making disciples of Jesus by preaching, teaching, training and demonstrating the Kingdom of God and their loyalty to their King (Mark 16:15-20, Matthew 28:18-20, 1 Corinthians 2:4, Acts). The presence and power of God was to accompany these people and be available to them in their service of the Lord Jesus (Mark 16:17,18,20; Matthew 28:20, 1 Corinthians 2:4, Acts). We continue this legacy in this generation as His Body and thus make disciples of Jesus (people that follow Jesus, not us). We thus train interested parties how to practically preach, teach (train) and demonstrate the Kingdom of God. All those we train can do what we do when we are finished and they are then well on their way as disciples of Jesus (not us). If you are interested in being like Jesus Christ and thus be His disciple and His Body, contact us! We can help you.
Since the beginning of Jesus' ministry, He called all to repentance for the Kingdom of God was present (Matthew 4:17, Mark 1:14,15). All who responded to the call to repentance confessed their sins and were baptised by immersion in water based on their own faith in the name and person of Jesus Christ. Since Jesus was glorified (ascended and sat on His throne), those who repented and were baptised, received the gift of the Holy Spirit with outward sign. The Holy Spirit joining with the human spirit revives/resurrects the human spirit which becomes the vehicle through which Jesus Christ manifests through human beings in the earth. Those who surrender to His reign will reign in life through the One New Man Jesus Christ. We follow after Jesus as His disciples and continue to call people to repentance. Why? Because of what Jesus has done. After Jesus had opened His disciples understanding to comprehend the Scriptures, He said, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem" (Luke 24:45-47). You can do the same thing today and we will gladly train you to do so. If you are interested in either responding to Jesus' call to repentance and remission of sins or would like us to train you how to practically call people to repentance and a life long allegiance to the Lord Jesus Christ, contact us! Jesus' instructions to His disciples were clear, "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give (Matthew 10:8 KJV). Further Jesus transferred this and every other command He gave to His first disciples to all future disciples in His commission, "All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV). Thus, through disciples in every generation the commands of Jesus would be handed down to new disciples of Jesus. Further, it is noteworthy to mention that Jesus only promised to be with those obedient to this commission (true disciples of Jesus/doers of His words). As further confirmation, Jesus said, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover" (Mark 16:17,18 KJV) and "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father" (John 14:12 KJV).
